For Vampire Film Fans!

December 18, 2009

For those vampire fans out there, Cosmo Culture found a list of 2009 vampire films. Twilight and New Moon come at the end of a very long list of vampire films that have come out this year. Even the foreign films have made it big with the vampire fans- Thirst, a Korean based film about a vampire priest, that won the Jury Prize at Cannes. Then there’s Let the Right One In, the Swedish cult hit about a vampire girl and the boy next door, which was released to critical raves in April this year. It’s now being remade in the US with director Matt Reeves.

And on top of it all, those blood-suckers have even taken control our television screens! Being Human is a traditional flat-share comedy drama, a la Friends, except the home is shared by a ghost, a werewolf and a vampire. Then there’s the widely acclaimed The Vampire Diaries which follows the love affair of a human girl and her vampire boyfriend (like that hasn’t been done before!) And, the most popular to date, True Blood, set in the American Deep South- psychic powers, blood and sex! An rated- R version of Twilight maybe?
